Library Vision
It is the role of the High School Library Media Center Program to cultivate an enthusiasm for reading, which is the foundation for developing effective users of ideas and information.
Library Mission
The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This mission is accomplished by:
- providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats;
- providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas;
- working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
Collection
- Over 9,000 print volumes in the High School Library
- 50 print periodicals & newspapers, as well as over 1000 periodicals & newspapers available electronically via database subscriptions.
Circulation
- Books, Audio books, DVDs, VHS - 2 Weeks
- Magazines, Newspapers - In-School use only
- Reference Materials - Over Night
Library materials may be reserved in advance by staff and students.
